Privacy Policy

Easy_Reader is local-first. Imported documents, reading history, annotations, OCR output, and search indexes remain in the app sandbox.

• Document contents are not used for advertising.
• The bundled English narrator runs on-device. When cloud multilingual narration is used, only the passage currently being narrated, selected language, voice, and pace are sent over encrypted HTTPS to the Easy_Reader narration service and its speech provider to generate audio.
• Narration requests are authenticated using an Apple-signed subscription transaction. Provider credentials are never stored in the app.
• Generated narration audio is cached locally. Document text and narration requests are not used by Easy_Reader for advertising or user profiling.
• Reading-position continuity uses the user’s private iCloud key-value store when enabled.
• Purchases are processed and verified by Apple through StoreKit.
• Anonymous diagnostics are disabled by default.

Users can delete imported documents and their associated annotations from the library. Deleting the app removes its local sandbox data, subject to normal device backups and iCloud data managed by the user.
